WHAT DOES THE BOARD DO?

The board has the overall responsibility for the school or kura. Section 127 of the Education and Training Act 2020 says that the board’s most important responsibility is for student achievement. To achieve this, the board is also legally responsible for the curriculum (what is taught), property, personnel, finance and health and safety.
